beachcombing has to be one of the most relaxing and inspiring activities for me and my family. you really sink in to the sand and focus only on the treasures under the ripples of the water and beneath or sometimes on top of the dry layers of sand and rocks. everything you touch, smell, hear and see swirls together calming the senses...it really ought to be a part of our daily routine. if not, then the collections and interior below are thoughtful reminders of the beachcombing experience. soon the trio of lavender filled sea pebbles (work in progress shown bottom left) inspired by our latest trek to the beach will be in the shop.

these days, more of my time is spent tinkering around at home and exploring multiple areas that need improvement. i'm still designing and making things - with new ideas swirling around in my head, on paper and in progress on my little project table all the time. a mobile shown below is hanging in the shop.

throughout the windy rainy weeks we've been having around here in the bay area, viewing pastel artwork with soft and crisp strokes and lines coming together mixing with the soft and crisp raindrops all around us sort of melded together and i felt the urge to create this soft and crisp floral banner no. 1. view the handmade banner shown below and in the shop.

little friendly bursts of long lasting color and texture to brighten your day. an acacia bouquet inspired by all the acacia which is in full bloom in our area right now is in the shop. handmade vase by nearby east bay ceramist sarah kersten is one of my favorites in my little ceramics collection and is not for sale.

what an interesting point of view (first image on left) from clothing designer jemma beech - such an intriguing mix of color, texture and pattern with an impressive smoothness and elegance to her silhouettes. i can't wait to see more. a denim cardholder useful for holding other small items like lipstick as well - shown below and in the shop.

even if you're not into celebrating valentine's day - everyone wants to feel special and appreciated from time to time. in honor of that special someone - a sweet little beaded buttercup bouquet and heartfelt bow tie ornament below and in the shop.
