an homage to my nephew and his bride-to-be, soon to be married with a honeymoon in our neck of the woods - the sublimely sinuous sentimental san francisco - wholeheartedly wishing the young couple a bright and bountiful future together. below is a hanging that i made, photographed when it was practically done, as part of their wedding gift.

the more isolated i feel, the more ideas pop into my head of what to make next. interesting, but spiraling dilemma to grasp. i have more ideas and designs in sketches and swirling around my imagination than my two hands can create which makes it challenging to organize their roll out and focus on their completion. i need to hold a get together, an informal showing of my work to feel more settled and accomplished as well as soak up more warmth from friendly faces. i want to open my drawer of homespun treasures and share it with those curious beings who desire and value thoughtfully crafted more one of a kind handmade accessories. below (lower right) is my latest necklace i'm finishing up, soon to be in the shop. i can imagine where to wear it, what to wear it with and spot complimentary texture and color....

walking through a beautiful garden is very inspiring and soothing. bringing the outside in, viewing art influenced by nature, feeling drawn to the romanticism of laurel, olive and bay wreaths and enjoying working with my hands compelled me to create the wreath-like piece i'm currently working on (a couple glimpses below). the layered piece will be in the shop soon. enjoy your week, hope it's a soothing one.

something urged me to create these dangling bits of whimsy below left - mini fanciful wreaths - to hang in a space that could use a pop of decorative detail.  i am drawn to particular color combinations that feel soothing, but not dull; and uplifting but not overbearing. add in a dose of charm or intrigue in form and texture and everything feels peachy keen.

summer vacation this year will be spent visiting a beach or two. beachcombing holds fond memories. i use to be a more of a beach girl. now i favor trees and pockets of calm protected water. of course i admire the landscape, texture and crisp freshness of the rugged open seashore, it's impossible to dismiss it. have a refreshing week.

pretty, pretty, pretty...sometimes that's all it takes to rejuvenate..a glimpse of unique wondrous objects, artwork and spaces to elevate your monday. a new golden wreath below is now in the shop. making circular objects is an interesting, distinctively dizzying process especially finding the closure to the piece. i look forward to creating more dizzying dots of interest to hang.
