awhile back many years ago, i had a little thought about which colors to paint the walls of our house. i kept tossing around the idea of lavenders and greens - maybe in some way i wanted to fulfill a dream of mine to have a field of lavender and artichokes. years later we named our daughter violet...i'm still drawn to certain greens and violets..there's a pattern here somewhere. for now, i'll coast through the week imagining where i could establish this pattern in my home or wardrobe maybe. be drawn to something and imagine how it could be part of your everyday.

ahhhh...warm and fuzzy thoughts and images to transition us into the cooler days of the year - i love the crispness in the air and serene glow from the light of autumn days. sip something warm and have fun bringing out the fuzzy glowing bits of decor, happy autumn.

blue and green side by side is a naturally beautiful combination. add a small dose of warmth - like a golden color and a hint of texture - and it peaks a little more interest and completes the calming and intriguing color combination. so many incredible designs and artwork are inspired by nature. i would like to translate this look and feel to our kitchen. hmm... have a calming week.
